Example dossier, fictional

First, free of charge.

A short questionnaire about your situation — interrupt it whenever you like and pick up where you left off. You immediately get your first priorities, five at most, and your complexity level.

StandardTo be checkedProfessional advised

All three levels are stated with care: information may always be missing. No level ever tells you to accept or to renounce a succession.

Free first. Paid only if you continue.

The triage is free and carries no obligation. The full plan opens with a single payment — never a subscription.

The letters, prepared.

For every straightforward step, “Prepare my letter” assembles the recipient, the subject line, the text and the enclosures. You check, you sign, you send. Nothing leaves without you.

Letters to the Vaud authorities are prepared in French.

To the housing agency

Re: death of the tenant — termination of the lease

“We hereby inform you of the death of Mr Dubois, on 14 February 2026, holder of the lease for the flat at chemin des Exemples 3. We would be grateful if you could tell us the terms for terminating the lease and returning the property.”

Fictional example — suggested enclosures: death certificate, certificate of inheritance. Send by registered mail where the official source indicates.

Deadlines, watched. Decisions, yours.

A three-month deadline may apply when deciding about a succession — where it starts from depends on your situation (knowledge of the death, appointed heir, inventory). AfterCare CH shows the deadlines and the official sources, and flags the situations that call for a notary, a lawyer, a fiduciary or the Justice of the Peace.

Certain actions taken on estate assets can have legal consequences on your ability to renounce the succession. Do not make a decision, and do not dispose of assets, on the basis of AfterCare CH alone.

AfterCare CH is not a law firm, a notary's office or a tax adviser. It never decides whether a succession should be accepted or renounced.

The next step is already clear.

Start with the free triage. Your full plan, with your letters and deadlines, stays open for 12 months.
